Dion Cooper, 26, of Brooklyn, was hitting his driver toward the Manhattan skyline, the balls tailing off in the familiar arc of the classic golf slice. Then he was handed the new Polara golf ball and took ahealthy swat. “Straight as an arrow,” he yelped with a mix of awe and surprise. For the next five minutes, he rarely hit a ball crooked."
-Bill Pennington

“And it’s all thanks to simple physics: The dimples along the ball’s y-axis are enlarged and shallower, helping to reduce forward drag. The dimples along the ball’s x-axis are smaller and deeper, to reduce sidespin. These help the ball correct any natural slice or hook - making you a better golfer.”
-Blake Snow

“From a golf fan’s perspective, I agree that the Polara Golf Ball can be a tremendous aid to recreational golfers. I know of personally many golfers who have quit the game of golf because they cannot get the golf ball to go straight no matter what, and this golf ball has the potential of bringing a lot moreenjoyment to the game.”
-Ryan Kekoufski

“If you’re a recreational golfer who tends to find the rough more than the fairway, your fast track to straighter shots has arrived. No, it’s not a new training aid, oversized draw driver or magic swing tip. It’s a golf ball that flies straight, even when you put a slice swing on it.”

“We took a couple boxes of these to one of the most challenging courses in the world. (Hint: may or may not begin with “Aug” and end with “usta.”) The results: strong. Our lead researcher tested them against a vicious slice (read: his normal shot), and the ball just kept flying straight.”

“Polara Golf has finally introduced what recreational golfers all over the world have been looking for - a quick fix for their game! While other golf ball manufacturers “claim” to improve accuracy or reduce your hook or slice, the unique dimple design of the Polara Self-Correcting TechnologyTM golf ball actually does it!”

“The Polara Ultimate Straight golf ball will correct the number one problem in golf – the slice. That’s not wishful thinking, it’s a fact.”
-Rick Stedman

First, I teed up a regular ball to make sure I could recreate my slice swing. The ball shot crazily off to the right, landing in the lake with a sickening plop. I was confident that to do that again would not be a problem. I carefully teed up a Polara ball, arrow on top, as instructed. I reared back and let it rip. The ball soared high into the sky, arched and landed on the fairway about 250 yards away. It had flown straight and true from tee to landing. I was in shock. “No slice!” I exclaimed.
I hit another Polara. The same thing. And another. I simply could not hit a bad shot. It was beautiful. No, it was more than that. It was a miracle. Decades of frustration and, yes, at times, explosions of anger at balls sliced into oblivion, all erased in an instant. I thought of the lyrics to “Amazing Grace:” “I oncewas lost but now am found,/Was blind, but now I see.”

These golf balls really do work - long and straight!
"Ok, these illegal golf balls are the real deal. I picked up a dozen to play with some non conforming clubs as an experiment and I was just blown away. I literally couldn't hit a shot with ANY shape, they just went arrow straight and at least 10-15 yards further than my normal golf balls. If you struggle with a big hooks and slices off the tee, this is definitely the golf ball for you.
The secret of this illegal golf ball is that you have the line the seam up with the target. You can do this on every shot to give you a perfect ball flight, but it will be illegal in tournament play. Polara claim that they reduce unwanted shot shapes by 75% and that its definitely what I saw on the golf course.
The dual core 2 piece construction feels along the lines of a Srixon Soft feel and I was impressed with the greenside spin and control. Off the the putter they felt firm but not unpleasant."

“Who knew it was so easy to hit long and straight? The dimple pattern of the Ultimate Straight reduces slices and hooks by up to 75%.”

"Golf is having a problem with participation. I’m not in golf because of my bad slice. I’ll be using it."
-Darren Rovell

“The Polara Ultimate Straight is the first modern ball with straight-shooting properties built right into its dimple pattern.”

"If you’re a recreational golfer who struggles to stay on the fairway, a Polara golf ball will have a positive effect on your game. I think you could make the case that this is the best golf ball for high handicappers…the only problem is that it’s considered an “illegal ball” for tournament play. Since I rarely play in tournaments, using a non conforming golf ball isn’t a deal breaker for me. I go to the golf course to get fresh air and have fun. If you fall into this same group, you should definitely give Polara Golf Balls a try."

"While I try really hard and feel like I put a lot of practice time in, I never seem to be able to rid my game of my slice and I probably never will. Though I feel like these balls still need to be hit fairly well, they correct enough that they turn a lost ball, into just a shot slightly off the fairway. I had fun golfing for the first time in a while as a result of using these. Also, I will say that if you DO hit it well, these things soar! I had some of my best drives ever with these. I think I'll be using these exclusively or at least at those times when my confidence is down and I just need to get back on track."
"The Polara Golf Ball is the Houdini of golf balls, magically correcting those pesky slices and hooks. Seriously, it’s like the ball refuses to go off-course. Hit a banana slice? Nope, not today. Snap hook into the woods? Sorry, no detours allowed. The ball’s design minimizes side spin, helping it fly straight even if your swing is, well, less than perfect." Read More
