First, I teed up a regular ball to make sure I could recreate my slice swing. The ball shot crazily off to the right, landing in the lake with a sickening plop. I was confident that to do that again would not be a problem. I carefully teed up a Polara ball, arrow on top, as instructed. I reared back and let it rip. The ball soared high into the sky, arched and landed on the fairway about 250 yards away. It had flown straight and true from tee to landing. I was in shock. “No slice!” I exclaimed.

I hit another Polara. The same thing. And another. I simply could not hit a bad shot. It was beautiful. No, it was more than that. It was a miracle. Decades of frustration and, yes, at times, explosions of anger at balls sliced into oblivion, all erased in an instant. These golf balls really do work - long and straight!

"Ok, these illegal golf balls are the real deal. I picked up a dozen to play with some non conforming clubs as an experiment and I was just blown away. I literally couldn't hit a shot with ANY shape, they just went arrow straight and at least 10-15 yards further than my normal golf balls. If you struggle with a big hooks and slices off the tee, this is definitely the golf ball for you.

The secret of this illegal golf ball is that you have the line the seam up with the target. You can do this on every shot to give you a perfect ball flight, but it will be illegal in tournament play. Polara claim that they reduce unwanted shot shapes by 75% and that its definitely what I saw on the golf course.

The dual core 2 piece construction feels along the lines of a Srixon Soft feel and I was impressed with the greenside spin and control. Off the the putter they felt firm but not unpleasant."

"If you’re a recreational golfer who struggles to stay on the fairway, a Polara golf ball will have a positive effect on your game. I think you could make the case that this is the best golf ball for high handicappers…the only problem is that it’s considered an “illegal ball” for tournament play. Since I rarely play in tournaments, using a non conforming golf ball isn’t a deal breaker for me. I go to the golf course to get fresh air and have fun. If you fall into this same group, you should definitely give Polara Golf Balls a try."

"While I try really hard and feel like I put a lot of practice time in, I never seem to be able to rid my game of my slice and I probably never will. Though I feel like these balls still need to be hit fairly well, they correct enough that they turn a lost ball, into just a shot slightly off the fairway. I had fun golfing for the first time in a while as a result of using these. Also, I will say that if you DO hit it well, these things soar! I had some of my best drives ever with these. I think I'll be using these exclusively or at least at those times when my confidence is down and I just need to get back on track."

"I have to admit, before yesterday, I had never heard of Polara Golf. I typically use Wilson Smart core or TaylorMade Distance+ balls; generously shanking and slicing them across all of New England courses! That was until yesterday. Yesterday, was a brisk, sunny 45° day in Boxford, MA with all the leaves and wind fall golf can bring. After shooting a 58 on the front 9 of the Fox course at Far Corner Golf, I preceded to do what most new golfers do after the turn, drink up and continue down Bogeyville road. Wish I could tell you how many balls I lost at that point in the round. Atleast 10 if not more. Now the course brings us to hole #6 on the Heron. A beautifully scaped down hill 170yd Par 3 that overlooks the clubhouse and surrounding area. Sandwiched by bunkers and the parking lot as your backdrop, it's not the hole you want to be short or long on, but just right. After taking in the view, its time to tee off. After losing my last Wilson on the previous hole, I had to dig down into the depths of my golf bag to find any stray ball I might of found during collection time in the woods. Lo and behold, I find a dirt caked, tenured Polara 4 XDS at the bottom. "Hmm" I said to myself. "Never seen this ball before." So I tee it up, fully expecting to let it set sail back into the abyss of leaves, woods, and hazards where it once laid rest. Thats when my life changed.  I don't remember how long the ball stayed in the air, I just remember the feeling of the XDS leave my 6 Iron smoothy, followed by the sound of screams of my two friends to assure me that "dude, that's in the hole!" In disbelief, we max speed our carts down to see the evidence. Sure enough, my first and only swing on a Polara Golf ball, was truly, a hole-in-one! Life still does not seem real at the moment. I had not heard of Polara Golf yesterday. Today, I use Polara XDS.  Thank you Polara for an "ace" of a product. You're the best!"

"They were definitely straight! The regular one (US) went dead straight and unfortunately in the woods on 15; the XD I adjusted my aim and went right down the middle and 15 yards past my Pro V.  I hit it again on 17 and 18 all right down the middle and farther than the Pro V by 15 to 20 yards and I tried a big slice swing on 18.
Even hit it with an iron off the from the fairway and it's the straightest iron I've hit in 5 years. I played all day with it. It's awesome with driver, iron and even putting!"
