Don’t Buy That Driver

Hold off if you are planning on a new driver. Jeff Sheets, Master Club Designer, is developing a Polara driver! When used with Polara balls you will drive straighter and longer than with any other ball and club combination - guaranteed as always.

How is that possible? The 475cc over-sized head exceeds the regulation sweet spot size for fewer mishits and consistent fairway play. The Ultra-thin Beta-Titanium face is lighter, stronger and springier than regulation drivers for maximum energy transfer and long straight drives. We expect the driver to be available by late spring and we will be taking discounted pre- orders in late winter.

Jeff has helped more than 60 of golf's majors and Ryder Cup winners along with two dozen golf hall of famers. He has worked closely with the likes of Nick Faldo, and rebuilt Faldo’s clubs in the weeks prior to his back-to-back Masters victories. He developed club head designs with Payne Stewart and Lanny Wadkins, and shares multiple patents with Lee Trevino. Jeff designed the clubs Dave Stockton hit to win the U.S. Senior Open, and the woods, irons, and putter used by Chris Johnson in her LPGA Championship victory.

Jeff built the first metal driver that Arnold Palmer ever put into play in a PGA Tournament (Arnie - at age 62 - opened with a 66 in Palm Springs against the 'flat bellies' that day in 1992). During his time at Spalding, Jeff oversaw the development of the Top-Flite Tour irons — the #1 iron on the Senior PGA Tour. We welcome Jeff to the Polara design team and think you will be glad he joined.
